The Marketing and Events Manager will inventively plan and execute events to support Jockey's newest experiential store, Coopers 12 South. This role will leverage retail and event management skills to integrate the authenticity of Jockey's brand into Nashville's culture. The Marketing and Events Manager will be an ambassador for Jockey in the local community, connecting with locals and tourists creating memories that last.
In addition, the Marketing and Events Manager will perform duties of a retail leader by providing leadership and direction to the store team in the following areas: driving brand awareness, growing key business metrics, executing visual merchandising, networking and management of daily operations.
JOB EXPECTATIONS Cultivate an exceptional atmosphere and culture that captivate and inspire our customers and employees.Develop unique and engaging events that bring the Coopers 12 South vision to life.Oversee all aspects of event planning from conception to completion, ensuring that details are managed, and the message is clear.Create and maintain best in class visual aesthetics that activate all 5 senses in all functional elements.Implement marketing, sales, service, and financial strategy direction provided by corporate partners.Engage with senior leadership by bringing your expertise and ideas forward to ensure we maximize store opportunities.Provide positive leadership, mentoring, and coaching to all employees to create and retain a high performing team.Educate and develop sales team on new products and sales strategies.Drive awareness within the community via networking, community involvement, event planning and execution, and create cohesive partnerships within the Nashville local market.Responsible for all aspects of store operations including staffing, selling skills, merchandising, stock management, safety and security, and operational policies and procedures.Regularly review key performance metrics with staff to drive profitability and service in the store.Ensure all Company prescribed standards are met and adhered to by all employees.QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
High School degree or equivalent.Minimum 3-5 years of experience supporting high-traffic retail environmentsExperience in planning, organizing, and executing events that attract local traffic and diverse audiencesExpertise in promoting brand identity through in-store initiatives, local partnerships, and targeted marketing campaigns.Strong selling experience required with the proven ability to meet and exceed performance standards.Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills required.Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Flexibility to work opening/closing shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime.PREFERRED:
College coursework or relevant degree in Business or related field preferred.Relevant certifications in hospitality, event management, retail operations.Strong working knowledge of POS systems. MS Office skills also preferred.PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING ENVIRONMENT Ability to move a minimum of 25 pounds.Ability to effectively maneuver around the sales floor and stockroom; repetitive bending, prolonged standing, twisting, stooping, squatting, ascending/descending, reaching, and lifting to stock and merchandise store.Ability to work with/around cleaning chemicals.
