Your Role
The Commercial Member Acquisition marketing team is looking for a dynamic marketing professional to join us as the Marketing Campaign Specialist, Consultant. The team are passionate marketers at heart – driven to create the most compelling member experience so that Blue Shield is the health plan carrier of choice during open enrollment. This role will work on a variety of project-based assignments that goes into enhancing the member experience to achieve member growth. This includes managing campaign tactics, assisting with new program launches, supporting the development and implementation of open enrollment digital tools, tracking campaign metrics, and working cross-functionally to gather information on new Blue Shield products and services.
The Member Acquisition Strategist will report to Manager, Commercial Group Member Acquisition Marketing and will work closely with our Member Acquisition Strategy, Account Management teams and external group Benefit Managers to support CalPERS, as well as other large groups.
Your Work
In this role, you will:

Manage client-specific member (B2B2C) communications for CalPERS as well as other large employer groups – Serve as the primary marketing point of contact for the CalPERS's Non-Medicare health plans and focus on developing strategies and delivering communications and campaigns to support membership growth during open enrollment
Be knowledgeable of CalPERS' product offerings and develop marketing strategies and communications that resonate with its members
Enhance the open enrollment experience with digital tools – Work with digital strategy and other marketing strategists to enhance the open enrollment digital experience through the development, enhancement, and usage of digital tools
Maintain and update client websites and ensure that digital content is kept current and aligned with brand standards and market trends
Leverage data to optimize campaigns and recommend metric – Pull campaign metrics to show the success and effectiveness of email campaigns and report campaign progress against goals and relevant marketing metrics to management
Lead end-to-end strategy and development of client-specific member marketing acquisition campaigns – Understand the importance of developing communications through the eyes of the customer – developing holistic experiences and meaningful touchpoints while incorporating a test and learn methodology
Write the creative brief, messaging, and content, select tactics (email, online, social, print, etc.), and execute of a variety of marketing campaigns and programs to meet business and membership growth goals, on time and on budget
Partner with internal and external audiences – This includes partnering with Account Management, legal, creative teams, etc. to strategize, plan, and ensure execution of a variety of marketing campaigns and programs to meet business and membership growth goals
Your Knowledge and ExperienceRequires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experienceRequires at least 7 years of prior relevant experience in marketing, including digital marketing (websites, email, social, etc.)Requires excellent project management and organizational skills, detail oriented, and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environmentHealth insurance experience strongly preferredAbility to leverage data to optimize campaigns and recommend KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and metrics to report campaign progress to management, using advanced features of Excel, PowerPoint, and WordStellar communication (both written and verbal) skills, interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as creative and marketing teams, account managers, and external partnersExperience with HTML and video editing a plusPay Range:The pay range for this role is: $ 109120.00 to $ 163680.00 for California.Note:Please note that this range represents the pay range for this and many other positions at Blue Shield that fall into this pay grade. Blue Shield salaries are based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, location (California, Bay area, or outside California), and current employee salaries for similar roles.
