Position Overview:
CVNL is seeking a talented Marketing & Communications Specialist to join our dynamic team.
Reporting directly to the Director of Marketing & Communications, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting various marketing initiatives across multiple channels.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of skills in PPC advertising, content generation, email marketing, social media management, and graphic design.
Responsibilities: Support PPC Ad Campaigns: Assist in the management and optimization of PPC ad campaigns to drive targeted traffic and conversions. Content Generation: Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling content for blog posts, news articles, landing pages, resource pages, and various forms to attract and engage our target audience. Email Marketing Campaigns: Contribute to the development, execution, and analysis of email marketing campaigns to nurture leads, promote products/services, and drive conversions. Social Media Oversight: Create, manage, and monitor a robust social media calendar for CVNL channels and affiliated channels.
Develop and deliver monthly reports on social growth and engagement.
Stay up to date with best social media practices for audience engagement. Graphic Design Support: Provide graphic design support for various marketing materials, including but not limited to digital ads, social media graphics, email templates, infographics, website assets slide decks, videos, print and digital flyers, and event booklets. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including department heads, content writers, designers, and developers, to ensure cohesive and effective marketing strategies and campaigns. Analytics and Reporting: Track, analyze, and report on the performance of marketing initiatives using relevant metrics and tools.
Use insights to optimize campaigns and drive continuous improvement. Other Responsibilities: Attend and participate in regular CVNL staff meetings & events. Assist with copywriting and copyediting. Physical Demands:

Expected Hours of Work/Travel:
This is a hybrid position with a home office located in San Rafael, CA, with minimal travel throughout the North Bay to support Special Events & CVNL Meetings.
Standard Mileage Reimbursements apply.
Ability to work occasional nights and weekends to support events/special projects may be needed.
Standard business hours are 9am to 5pm.
Requirements Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design or related field; Master's degree preferred. Proven experience in supporting PPC ad campaigns, content creation, email marketing, social media management, and graphic design. Proficiency in tools such as Google Ads, Google Analytics, Facebook Ads Manager, Mailchimp (or similar email marketing platforms), Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), and/or Canva. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights. Creative thinking and problem-solving skills with a passion for staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization. Exceptional attention to detail.
High-level editorial skills for creating, reviewing, and refining content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines. Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., CRM, project management, marketing automation, event management platforms). Experience in graphic design and proficiency with design software is a plus. Knowledge of the latest marketing trends and technologies. Ability to manage multiple priorities and campaigns effectively. Ability to work effectively with people of all ages from a wide variety of backgrounds. The budgeted starting salary that CVNL reasonably expects to pay is $63,200-70,000 annually depending on prior experience.
This takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, analysis of internal equity, and external market comparisons for similar positions in similar geographic locations and size.
Offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience.
