Role Overview:
As the inpatient BHU Medical Director, you will be crucial in providing leadership and ensuring the highest quality of care for our patients. Your responsibilities will include:
Leading quality and performance initiatives to maintain the integrity of the BHU.Representing adult psychiatry in hospital meetings and acting as the point person for psychiatric topics, both clinical and administrative.Participating in program development and expansion efforts. Additional Responsibilities:
Overseeing psychiatry providers to meet volume and quality expectations.Participating in recruitment, orientation, and performance management of providers.Being available for clinical escalation during emergencies.Conducting psychiatric evaluations, diagnosing patients, and prescribing medications.Monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed.Providing crisis intervention and completing clinical documentation.Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and coordinating care with stakeholders.Providing referrals and education to patients and families.Offering outpatient psychiatric services virtually when necessary. Requirements:
Maryland licensure or willingness to become licensed.Board certification or eligibility.Preferred willingness to become licensed in other geographies. Location:
