CourseworkCoursework – M.Ed. in Secondary Education with Teacher Certification Candidates are required to earn a minimum of 30 credits for M.Ed. degree completion. Upon review of transcripts and professional experiences, Teacher Certification Candidates may be required to take additional courses to meet the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) requirements/competencies for initial teaching certification. Therefore, Teacher Candidates may be required to take up to 42 graduate credits.Additional Preparation – Additionally, some undergraduate content courses may be required. However, Teacher Certification Candidates may qualify for initial teacher certification with a minimum of 12 credits completed with a B (3.0 GPA).Flexible Start Times – Students may apply for the Fall, Spring, or Summer semesters.CAEP accreditation ensures we prepare new teachers to know their subjects, their students, and have the clinical training that allows them to enter the classroom ready to teach effectively.
