Besides Scheduling experience in an MTO environment, experience working for a union shop, defense manufacturing, and/or with relevant metal manufacturing processes (machining, welding, etc) is of high interest.

Job Details
The Master Planning & Production Scheduler is responsible for overall leadership, coordination, and communication of the scheduling & planning process for the site. This Planning & Scheduling leader will work closely with Programs & Sales, Inventory, and Purchasing teams to develop, drive, and implement "best in class" planning and scheduling systems, strategies, and processes across our low volume, high mix defense product manufacturing environment.
Principal Activities
Create and implement a planning and scheduling process in order to reduce WIP and finished goods inventory.
Partner with Sales, Contracts, and Program Mgmt to build a clear picture of customer demand profiles.
Align the Master Production Schedule and SIOP forecast to support and drive improvements to OTD
Utilize the ERP system (IFS) to manage the material flow and work prioritization, automating manual processes where possible.
Ensure material flow to the production line without material shortage and with appropriate inventory level in concert with the Inventory Supervisor
Data Analysis: extract data from the ERP system, dissect, and present information to aid in critical business decisions
Support SIOP training and implementation across the plant
Education & Experience Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline from an accredited university or college
Minimum 5 years of professional supply chain experience in Production Planning and/or Scheduling
Metal manufacturing and machining manufacturing process experience
Experience with made to order, highly engineered, low volume/high mix metal manufacturing (IE - machining, welding)
Must be a US Citizen for consideration
Preferred Qualifications: Proven process improvement (Lean 6S) and SIOP implementation experience
Experience with defense customers
Experience with union sites and worker
Demonstrable experience improving OTD
