As a Material Control Supervisor, you will lead a warehouse team, ensuring safety protocols are followed, inventory is accurately tracked, and orders are fulfilled in a timely manner. This is an onsite position that will require flexibility including the ability to work any shift, including nights, weekends, and most holidays. Eligible for overtime pay when working holidays. There is no hybrid option for this position.
In this role, you will:
The primary role of a Material Control Supervisor is to oversee the day-to-day operation of a Parts Distribution Center. Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Lead a represented team responsible for Receiving, Packaging, Replenishment, Picking, and Shipping.
Deliver objectives related to Cost, Quality, Safety, Efficiency, Absenteeism.
Engage with key stakeholders including suppliers to deliver key objectives.
Maintain a positive working relationship with all stakeholders, including fair and consistent administration of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
You'll have:
High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum 1 year leadership experience.
Demonstrated ability to actively listen, collaborate and problem solve with stakeholders.
Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism in difficult and stressful situations.
Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
Working Knowledge of Microsoft: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Even better, you may have:
Bachelor Degree.
Prior Warehouse supervisor experience.
Experience working in a UAW environment.
Experience in warehouse/distribution/ production operations.
Knowledge of WMS-Warehouse Management Systems-Preferably SAP/EWM.
Knowledge of Payroll Systems.
