Job Description
The Material Coordinator is an analytical professional that performs the creation & maintenance of the Bills of Material.
This position is integral in the planning & support of Advanced Work Packaging by providing project personnel with constraint and material readiness.
Position Responsibilities Coordinate / Communicate directly with Work Face Planning, Scheduling, Engineering, and Expediting to collect necessary Bills of Material detail and work package attributes. Revise & populate Bills of Material data in the Material Management System Emailing/ contacting vendors on material status Support the data analysis for construction planning meetings and be prepared to support/explain the results. Perform & oversee the pick ticket creation and issuing of material within the Material Management System (MMS) Generate reports for project team to include forecast of work package requirements. Continuously review Material Readiness look ahead reports and provide status to project team to eliminate material constraints. Generate requisitions for material shortages related to Bills of Material Other task as required Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED 5 years of experience in related fields or in the role in industrial construction projects. Must be able to read and write legibly. Must be organized and have the ability to maintain a running inventory. Must be self-motivated and be able to work with little to no supervision. Must be able to work extended hours beyond the normal worksite hours and any additional overtime as needed. Have Heavy SAP background Preferred Additional Qualification Current Zachry or Zachry ROF'ed employee. Former experience working with Zachry Industrial, Inc. 3 to 5 years' experience on an industrial construction project. Previous experience in this position.
Physical Requirements Employee may be required to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting and lifting. Will talk and hear to communicate. May be required to pick up, lift, carry and move up to 25lbs (occasionally more). Ability to work alone and with others including craft, planners, managers, engineers, suppliers, and customers.
