Material Flow Engineering is seeking an Engineering Supervisor for North America. Qualified and desirable candidates will be comfortable with change and cross functional challenges, excellent team players, and Enthusiastic about best-in-world design solutions.
Travel required to support upcomming Product launches.
What you'll do...
Engineer optimal material flow, material handling equipment and facilities for new model programs.
Interface with PD on impact of product design and drive opportunities for enterprise cost improvement.
Interface with Manufacturing Engineering and simultaneously engineer the material handling/flow equipment and facilities aligned with manufacturing strategy and timing.
Develop new model cost savings projects, achieve sign-off and launch facilities & equipment.
Flawless launch of material handling equipment and facilities for new model programs.
Lead plant specific Material Support Center business cases, statement of work and launch of new facilities -Lead implementation of Global Material Flow Strategy (fork free, kitting, floor space optimization) implementation for assigned plants/programs
Implement low cost complexity management strategies
You'll have...
Bachelors Degree in Engineering
Significant travel outside SE Michigan required to support launches at KCAP and TEVC
AutoCAD experience/working knowledge
PFEP, Factory Flow, and other MF&PE tools experience -MP&L plant operations/process knowledge -Understanding of new model process planning (body, stamping, trim, chassis, and final)
Strong leadership skills - especially in areas of team work, drive for results, and business acumen.
Experience engineering and launching material handling facilities and equipment.
Experience with lean manufacturing, lean material flow, and factory physics.
Experience with floor space utilization and optimization.
Self motivated and flexible - able to manage multiple assignments at one time.

Bachelors Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Packaging Engineering
Prior experience as a people leader and plant experience preferred
