Material Control Specialist (Contract Role) #1939OS
Are you a detail-oriented individual with experience in warehouse operations? We're seeking a dynamic Material Control Specialist to join our team on a contract basis. This role is crucial in maintaining the efficiency of our supply chain and inventory management processes.
Contract: 6+ months
About the Role
As a Material Control Specialist, you'll be at the heart of our material handling operations. Your responsibilities may include receiving, put-away, packing, kitting, shipping, and inventory counting. You'll play a key role in ensuring smooth material flow and accurate inventory management.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain an organized and accessible inventory storage system
Support manufacturing operations through efficient material handling and kitting
Oversee inventory management, including Kanban system implementation
Process domestic shipments, including packaging and documentation
Verify incoming goods against purchase orders and packing lists
Ensure timely and accurate processing of all paperwork and transactions
Conduct regular inventory cycle counts
Manage RMA (Return Material Authorization) documentation
Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks
Contribute to a safe work environment and departmental process improvements
Perform additional tasks as assigned
Qualifications
1-2 years of warehouse experience preferred
High school diploma or GED
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Strong organizational abilities with high attention to detail
Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension)
Ability to adapt to changing conditions and work with minimal supervision
Team player with multi-tasking and prioritization skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel)
Experience with forklift and pallet jack operation (desired)
Knowledge of inventory control and ERP systems (a plus)
