Direct the HEBU Materials and Warehousing staff to meet established objectivesManage cycle count program to ensure inventory accuracyProvide world class strategic planning and sourcing optionsIdentify, select and manage key strategic suppliers for best in safety, quality, delivery, and costManage key vendor performance metrics in support of overall strategiesDevelop and maintain strategic supplier relationships and improvement initiativesGenerate and maintain all formal, legal purchasing agreementsManage key purchasing/warehouse department metrics including:Managing critical min/max items in inventoryInventory turnsAnnual material cost reductionsVendor delivery and quality performanceDevelop and manage department annual budgetManage the purchasing and warehousing group staffing requirements, performance reviews, development and improvement initiativesTravel to vendor locations and other site(s) as required, including international travelOther duties and responsibilities as assignedPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to travel up to 20% of the time, some international travel may be requiredWillingness to wear PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel toed boots) as required ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: Shop environment including assembly, welding, overhead cranes, and fork trucksQUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Materials Management. Master's degree is highly preferredTen years of supply chain management experienceMinimum of five years of department management experienceKnowledgeable with the application of Lean/Six Sigma conceptsExceptional interpersonal skillsExcellent written and verbal communications skillsExperience in formal quality assurance system setting (ISO or equivalent)Strong negotiation and management skills; effective in influencing othersDetail oriented with strong analytical skills and an innovative approach to problem solvingExcellent organizational skillsMust maintain a valid passportWage Type: Salaried, exempt
