Materials & Purchasing Manager

SUMMARY: Directs and manages materials and purchasing activities, supply chain management, and production planning.
Ensures highest levels of customer service with minimal inventory investment and maximum manufacturing productivity.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include:
Overseeing the purchasing department and contracts with suppliers Participating in major contract negotiations with top suppliers Planning and preparing schedules for component manufacture Working interdepartmentally to balance customer responsiveness with capacity and material constraints Managing inventory control function and supervising stockroom activities KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES required:
Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of related experience Strong data analytic skills with high intermediate or advanced Excel skills Previous direct line management experience and experience in value stream mapping, master data management and new process development QUALIFICATIONS include the ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

WORK ENVIRONMENT involves working near moving mechanical parts and occasional exposure to fumes
