The MDS Director (RN) is a leadership role and must have a passion for team success. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in LTC Skilled Nursing and has demonstrated leadership abilities. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure. We offer: $85-95k / year $10,000 sign on bonus Healthcare, dental, vision, and more (for full time) 401K matching (for full time) Weight-loss program and gym membership reimbursement (for full time) Appreciation rewards Successful candidates will have the following: MDS Experience in a Long-Term Care Setting (Required) Nursing Degree from an accredited college/university ACTIVE , unencumbered RN license to practice in South Carolina (Required) PDPM experience required Ability to conduct and document accurate assessments of patients Ability to interview patients and families to ensure an accurate picture of the patient's psychosocial/medical status is obtained Ability to coordinate with other disciplines to ensure accurate and timely completion of the MDS. Organizational skills, ability to schedule and meet deadlines Monitoring the overall medical record to validate support of MDS coding Works with interdisciplinary team to assure timely completion of Resident assessment Protocols and Patient Care Plans Supports the accuracy of medical record documentation through ongoing in-services to center partners.
The primary function of the MDS Director is to lead the MDS team in assessing resident care needs, direct and supervise MDS nurses to complete assessments timely ensuring accuracy. This role also serves as the primary driver for QM management and tracking, documentation review for reimbursement, and overall care plan compliance.
