The MDS Nurse is responsible for ensuring that resident assessments are not only accurate but also reflective of optimal care strategies. This vital role encompasses a range of responsibilities such as: Overseeing the initiation and completion of resident assessments (MDS) in strict accordance with current regulations and guidelines. Guaranteeing the timely and precise execution of the MDS process. Cooperating with an interdisciplinary team to craft personalized care plans for each resident. Tracking and documenting residents' health status and their reactions to care plans. Engaging in the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives. Ensuring clear communication between residents, their families, and the healthcare team to facilitate seamless care delivery. Staying informed regarding MDS regulations and guidelines to uphold compliance at all times.
