What does a typical day look like for the Night Shelf Stocker? You will:
The Meat Room Custodian plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of the commissary's meat room and surrounding areas.This position involves a combination of custodial duties, minor maintenance tasks, and general responsibilities to ensure a healthy and sanitary environmentCleaning and sanitizing meat processing equipment, including slicers, grinders, saws, and cutting boards, to prevent cross-contamination and ensure food safetyKeeping the meat preparation and storage areas clean and organized to meet health and safety standardsRestocking cleaning supplies, sanitizers, and personal protective equipment (PPE) in the meat room for the use of meat department employeeCleaning and maintaining meat display cases to ensure that products are presented attractively to customersAdhering to food safety guidelines and regulations, including proper handwashing, glove usage, and sanitation practicesAssisting in inventory control by monitoring stock levels of cleaning supplies and reporting when replenishment is neededBeing prepared to respond to emergencies such as spills or accidents involving meat products, following safety protocols and notifying supervisors as necessaryMaintaining cleaning and sanitation records as required by food safety regulationsEffectively communicating with meat department staff and store management regarding cleaning schedules, supply needs, and any sanitation concernsAdhering to store policies and procedures related to cleanliness, safety, and hygiene.The Meat Room Custodian position is physically demanding.While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to reach with hands and arms and lift up to 50 lbs. What qualifications do you look for? You might be the leader we're looking for if you have:
Good interpersonal and customer service skills. Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds and bend, reach, and grasp items. Must complete a successful background check. Hustle and Mission Focus Required. Previous meat room cleaning experience is highly desirable. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to meat processing room operations. Schedule/Hours: start at 6:00, 7:00, or 8:00 pm, depending on the day, to task completion or 1:00 am at the latest.
