The Mechanic C is responsible for maintaining and repairing packaging equipment, supporting both mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting, ensuring machinery efficiency and participating in machinery development projects and initiatives.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Perform all Preventative Maintenance as requiredInterprets blueprints and schematics and basic understanding of electrical circuits and PLCsTroubleshoots, assesses and repairs most manufacturing/facilities issues, including packaging equipment changeovers in a timely manner without supervisionREQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferredMilitary experience a plusPhysical ability to repetitively lift, stand, climb and bend within a manufacturing environmentEXPERIENCE:Experience working in and around mechanical equipment, preferably in a food/pharmaceutical/nutraceutical environmentHVAC, plumbing, or electrical experience/certifications are strongly preferred.SKILLS:Must be mechanically inclined and have the ability to use all standard tools of the trade including electrical test metersHigh level of organizational skills, good written and oral communication skillsAbility to work independently and meet deadlinesMust be able to multi-task and follow-up when responses are neededThe approximate hourly pay for this position is $29.80-$36.49. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
