This position will be based in Wendell, NC.As a Mechanical Assembler you will be responsible for the building, assembling, and wiring DC Electrical Vehicle Chargers and Dispensers.Roles & ResponsibilitiesAssembly and wire DC Electric Vehicle Chargers, electric vehicle power dispensers, parts kits, aftermarket parts orders, and related componentsPerform Sub assembly work including mechanical assembly of panels, cabinets, and components, power cable work, and various wiring tasksRecord appropriate job record transactionsRead BOM, follow layouts & assembly drawingsPerform some basic wiring per given instructions when requestedSet and correct use of Torque wrenchesAdhere to developed processes, methods and/or seek ways to improveMust adhere to all safety rules and keep safety first for self and othersPerform miscellaneous other duties as assigned by Supervisor or ManagementYou'll win us over by having the following qualifications:Basic Qualifications:1+ years of experience performing mechanical assembly or experience in the mechanical field1+ years' experience wiring in commercial or industrial applications1+ years' experience working with standard hand and power tools, both pneumatic and battery operatedMust be able to lift parts or sub-assemblies that weigh up to 50 lbs. occasionallyCommunicate in English (read, write & speak fluently)Must be able to Identify mechanical parts and electrical componentsExperience with using a tape measure and other measuring devicesMust have knowledge of torque wrench and applied torque valuesMust have a proven record in Quality and ProductivityMust be a strong team playerPreferred Qualifications:Forklift driver experienceSAP experienceAssociates Degree or technical training in area of responsibility. You'll benefit from:Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to our employees.
