Siemens Industryis looking for interns for ourElectrification and Automationdivision in Wendell, NCto support our portfolio of protection and automation products and solutions. A variety of opportunities are available across the business supportingproject designtasks, operations,productdevelopment,specialprojectsand process improvements.On-site requirement will vary based onteamplacement–as willexpected workinghours.
You'll make an impact by:
Designing parts and assemblies for energy management equipment from concept to completed design solutionwith guidance from assigned mentor and sr. engineer
Be a critical part of a custom designed-to-order business focused on unique customer requirements
ImproveSiemensproducts by working collaboratively toidentifyand integratedesign enhancements
Create Bills of Materials, develop new assemblies,validatefunctionality, and release part/assemblies to production
Produce engineering drawings incorporatingaccurateannotations, dimensions, and tolerances, ensuring compliance with the ASME Y14.5 standard

To apply for the Internship program, candidates must meet the following requirements:
Majors: Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student studying Mechanical Engineering
Education: Current student pursuing a bachelor's degree from an accredited technical school, college, or university (you must be a registered student at the time of the internship) 
Relocation: No travel /or relocation compensation. Applicants must be local and able to work on-site at the office in Wendell, NC
Working Hours: Spring Internships are Part-time up to 29 hours per week. Work times starting from 8-9am and ending they day 4-6pm with flex start and end times.
Work Authorization: Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:
3D modeling/drafting experience (Solidworks, AutoCAD, NX)
Mechanical design knowledge and basic electrical concept knowledge
Ability to prioritize work and meet project deadlines
Good verbal and written communication skills
Experience with MS office products with proficiency in MS works, Excel and PowerPoint

The hourly pay rate for this position is $25.00-$30.00/hr. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
Additionally, interns for Siemens are eligible to contribute into our 401K program.
