RFA Engineering (www.rfamec.com) is an engineering service provider dedicated to delivering our clients with timely engineering support and expertise. We are seeking an Entry-Level to Experienced candidate to become an integral part of our engineering team. The selected candidate will work with an experienced engineering staff using state-of-the-art engineering tools & processes. This position will operate onsite at our customer's world-class engineering and manufacturing facility.

Mechanical Engineer – CFD This individual will be responsible for developing and validating Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) models to support the design of new products, as well as troubleshooting existing products.
Responsibilities Work with cross-functional teams to design and verify the performance goals of cooling systems, HVAC systems, and enginesProvide engineering analysis support using software to model complex thermal and fluid systemsUse of Ensight for post-processingUse of Kuli to model and predict cooling system performanceProvide design engineering team with accurate design recommendations of corrective actionPerform after-test correlation with CFD models to improve analysis methodologyRequirements Previous experience with Creo (Pro/Engineer) or other 3D CAD softwareBasic understanding of cooling systems and diesel enginesDemonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitmentsStrong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skillsAbility to thrive in a team environmentDesired Attributes Strong understanding of fluid mechanics and thermodynamicsDesign experience or exposure to large machineryDesire to work in a fast paced engineering environment focusing on robust designs, quality of product, and accuracy of resultsVisa sponsorship is NOT available for this position. Pay Range: $65,000-$80,000 – Commensurate with experience
