Details of the offer

Job Description: We are seeking a talented and experienced Mechanical Engineer with a specialized focus on sound reduction to join our team. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, development, and optimization of sound reduction products within our metals manufacturing environment. You will apply your expertise in mechanical engineering principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes to ensure the highest standards of performance, quality, and reliability in our products.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the design and development of sound reduction components and assemblies, from conceptualization through prototyping to production implementation.
• Conduct detailed engineering analyses, including structural, thermal, and dynamic simulations, to optimize sound reduction performance and durability.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure design feasibility, manufacturability, and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Utilize CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) to create detailed 3D models, drawings, and specifications for sound reduction components and tooling.
• Identify and evaluate materials and manufacturing processes suitable for sound reduction applications, considering factors such as weight, strength, heat resistance, and acoustic performance.
• Develop and implement testing protocols and procedures to validate sound reduction designs and verify performance characteristics.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing operations, including troubleshooting, process optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements related to sound reduction manufacturing, and incorporate relevant advancements into our product development strategies.
• Document and maintain accurate records of design iterations, test results, and engineering changes in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field preferred.
• Proven experience in mechanical design and engineering, with a focus on precision components and assemblies.
• Demonstrated expertise in suppressor design, manufacturing, and testing, preferably in a metals manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for 3D modeling and drafting.
• Strong analytical skills and experience with engineering analysis tools such as finite element analysis (FEA).
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes commonly used in metals manufacturing, including CNC machining, metal forming, and welding.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and interface with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks to meet project timelines and objectives.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience with sound reduction protocols and equipment, such as sound pressure level (SPL) meters and high-speed cameras.
• Knowledge of sound reduction principles, including familiarity with relevant laws and regulations.
• Previous experience working in a regulated industry, such as defense, law enforcement, or aerospace.
Join us and contribute your expertise to the design and development of innovative sound reduction solutions that meet the highest standards of performance and quality. If you are passionate and eager to make a meaningful impact in sound reduction manufacturing, we want to hear from you! We have full benefits and are employee focused!
