ABTech creates, builds and supports industry leading motion systems. With growth in our OEM and custom build markets, we are currently looking to strengthen our engineering team.
Description: As a Mechanical Engineer, you play a vital role in the development of application-specific products through mechanical design, manufacturing support, documentation, and applications engineering.
Specific duties and responsibilities: Investigate and select mechanical and electrical (with assistance from Electrical Engineer) components for the purpose of using them in our products so as to stay competitive both on price and performance.Develop, design, and document cost-effective solutions for mechanical portions of our product in accordance with our documentation systems.Investigate and implement improvements in design and manufacturability of product to reduce manufacturing costs and improve performance as needed.Manage assigned projects to ensure they stay on track with cost, performance, and lead time in accordance with Project Management procedures.Design and document performance test procedures for product and build an engineering library of results for sales, assembly, and test departments.Travel to customer locations for installation, training, and service of products as needed.Maintain all engineering support documentation such as bills of materials, engineering change orders, routers, test procedures, etc.Contribute to and support our 'Company Culture with Intention', which is to make better every interaction with each other, our customers, and our community. Company collaboration, learning, innovation, and well-being are outcomes of this intention.Skills and Qualifications: Minimum requirement: 2+ years of experience in mechanical design of systemsMinimum requirement: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical EngineeringStrong troubleshooting skillsStrong organizational and documentation skillsIdeal candidate will be a self-starter who enjoys product development and collaboration in a team environmentJob Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
