GeoLogics is seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer to work with one of our aerospace and defense partners in Grand Prairie, TX.
This is a 1-year contract position.
Position: Mechanical Engineer (1-year contract)
Location: Onsite/Hybrid in Grand Prairie, TX
Pay: Up to $72.40 per hour
Clearance Requirement: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable period of time.
An Active Secret Clearance is highly preferred.
Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.Due to the nature of work performed in the facility, U.S. citizenship is required.
Job Overview: This position is for a highly creative Mechanical Design Engineer to support the development and establishment of design concepts of mechanisms and structures.
The scope includes conducting trade studies, solid modeling, and conducting preliminary analysis in support of developing solutions to technical problems of varying complexity while assuring sound technical content which supports timely closure that supports the project's milestones.
Required Skills/Qualifications: Candidates must have the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance (U.S.
Citizenship).
An Active Secret clearance is highly preferred. B.S.
degree and minimum of 6 years of related experience (or 4 years with a M.S.
degree) Requirements include a minimum of 2 years of experience with: Design drafting standards in support of drawing definition and releasing thereof Windchill and familiarity with PLM releases Creo 3D Models Computer Aided Design (CAD) Drafting Knowledge of Design Releases and Change Processes Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
