A Day In The Life Of Our Mechanical Engineering Intern, Capital: Manage large bill of materials to ensure correct quantities of parts are available for system builds Measure/assess robotic and mechatronic components and subassemblies for fit and function Assemble components, subassemblies and systems within the robotic system Work closely with vendors to ensure on time delivery of components and subassemblies Design test procedures and fixturing for characterization of mechanical subassemblies Provide troubleshooting and communication of technical issues as they arise to support the needs of the Mechanical Engineering team Collaborate across cross-functional teams in a start-up environment with minimal supervision and guidance About You: Recent graduate with B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related engineering or scientific discipline Experience with CAD systems (SolidWorks preferred) Demonstrated ability and interest in product design, as well as design for manufacturability and serviceability Excellent verbal and written communication, and organization and documentation skills Experience with rapid prototyping and building test fixtures Able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced startup environment with minimal supervision Workplace Type: Hybrid
