SUMMARY OF POSITION:The purpose of this job is to provide professional expertise as a competent mechanical engineer within a formal engineering process or a major project. Coordinates and performs engineering tasks supporting the mission of the department and/or Volvo GTO serving in a specialist capacity for a complex area. This position requires the ability to interpret the principles, theories, engineering standards, and concepts of an engineering area or assignment.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:Serves as a mechanical engineering authority in multiple areas of assignment requiring limited direction and supervision with significant interaction inside and outside the department.Assures completion of Order Specification with limited direction and supervision: Emphasis is placed on level of expertise, design release integrity, creativity, analysis, and interaction within internal and external organizations.Plans, develops, and completes engineering projects within areas of assignment. Please note: In order to meet the minimum requirements, each item listed within the pathway chart must be met. Education: 4 years Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related field
Experience: 3 years Related mechanical engineering experience
