As the Subject Matter expert, it is important to coordinate the design and installation of mechanical, plumbing, sprinkler, electrical and fire alarm systems at the Montefiore Medical Center and related properties that are required.
Having particular knowledge of systems in a healthcare environment is important.
This position will guide key decision making on capital projects throughout the system.
Must be knowledgeable in Chiller Plants, Generators, Co-generation Plants, Fire Sprinkler Installation and Type 1 Separation of Service is key.
Conduct design document review to ensure all program elements are captured and documented to meet Montefiore Medical Center compliance.
Maintain and report on project financial, budget and schedules.
Maintain record documents for projects.
Ensure clear project communication with end users, construction safety and infection control policies are followed.
Manage assigned PM, consultant staff and vendors related to specific project duties.
Collaborate with senior leadership, engineering directors, design and construction team, facilities engineering, user groups and other key departments.
Ensures Design supports a healing environment for our patients, staff, and visitor's needs.
Oversees the daily administrative and clinical activities of a designated department to ensure efficient business operations and the delivery of quality health care services.
Develop design criteria for mechanical systems.
Review mechanical specs/equipment standards.
Coordinate and inspect installation of mechanical systems.
Requirements: Bachelors Degree required, Master's preferred in Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing Engineering.
MEP Engineer and/or Construction Management and/or Business AdministrationAt least 7 years of experience in the fieldP.E.
and P.M.P.
