The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Mechanical System Design & Analysis Engineer (Level 2) to join the Flight Simulations Labs Iron Bird Lab team located in Berkeley, MO. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.

The engineer in this position will support the design, build and testing of test articles in the Iron Bird labs. The Iron Bird Lab supports all defense programs at the site in addition to occasional support of programs at other sites locally in St. Louis.

Position Responsibilities:

In this position the engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining 3D parametric NX models of the test articles, developing solutions to meet customer testing requirements, and design test equipment as needed. Additionally, in this position the engineer will also support all test article builds they design and support/facilitate Iron Bird testing.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):

Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering

1+ years of experience with a design tool (CAD package) like Siemens NX, CATIA, etc.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Strong NX background

Experience with Data systems

Previous experience working in a lab environment

Hands on experience with hydraulic and/or mechanical systems

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range (Level 2 Associate): $76,500– $103,500
