Job Overview:
Join the Client Gas Turbine Fuel Systems Division as a Mechanical Technician and be part of a dynamic team dedicated to advancing aerospace technology. Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the R&D Lab team by taking direction from senior engineers on active projects.
• Assist in the maintenance, assembly, and testing of mechanical systems and components essential for aerospace applications.
• Operate and maintain fabrication equipment (e.g., tube bender, drill press, milling machine) and calibration tools (e.g., viscometer, densometer).
• Lead calibration efforts for lab and production test stands to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Troubleshoot mechanical systems and resolve issues related to performance and instrumentation.
• Participate actively in a High-Performance Team environment, contributing to various functions as needed.
• Present project plans, data, and results to the team, generating detailed reports to facilitate informed decision-making.
• Support fellow engineers with projects and tasks, fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to a zero-incident culture.
Qualifications:
• Education: Completed two-year degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or a closely related field.
• Hands-On Skills: Strong experience in mechanical assembly, fabrication, and troubleshooting.
• Communication: Excellent skills for presenting to both technical and non-technical audiences, along with precise scientific documentation abilities.
• Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, fostering collaboration and innovation.
• Travel: Willingness to travel occasionally to Parker facilities, local universities, and suppliers.
• Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen.
