Job Summary
Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, the Nursing Assistant provides support to the patient by assisting with basic care for daily living including bathroom assistance, bathing, maintaining hygiene, changing bedding, turning and repositioning, assisting in ambulation, serving and assisting with meals, and obtaining vital signs.

Key Competencies and Skills Concise, legible handwriting or printing.

Able to present a good hospital image to the public.

Essential Duties
Participates in fire and other disaster plans as directed.
Work subject to frequent interruptions and multitasking.
Adheres to HIPAA guidelines and Hospital Policy Independently performs and documents duties as assigned under the direction of the Registered Nurse Reports observations of a patient to a Registered Nurse.
Promotes personal and patient safety.

May be required to lift more than 35 pounds.
Reports To
Under the general supervision of the Unit Manager, receives delegation from a Registered Nurse.
No managerial or supervisory responsibilities.
