Unlock your potential at Alaska Regional Hospital!Job Summary and QualificationsThe Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures and delivers high quality, patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift. In collaboration with other members of the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures, serves as a resource person for staff, and models a commitment to the organization's vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.As a Charge RN in the Ortho Unit you will be responsible for the day-to-day activities in the unit. You will provide the quality preventative, supportive, and Ortho nursing care to each patient. Our team considers ourselves a family who work hard to support each other and we are looking for someone who has a passion for providing excellent patient care. In this Charge RN role: · You will triage, assess and treat patients of all ages. You will manage multiple cases simultaneously providing general nursing care and prioritizing needs continually. · You will demonstrate the ability to manage and coordinate patient care, maintaining departmental flow and directing the staff assignments as needed. You will work with the Manager and Director on department staffing; hiring, evaluating, guiding, disciplining, and scheduling of staff.You will act in a composed and professional manner, especially under pressure.You will provide follow up care instructions to patients and make necessary referrals.You will maintain accurate and up-to-date patient charts.You will assist in coordinating functions with physicians and other departments of the hospital, with a focus on patient safety. Qualifications: Current State of Alaska Registered Nurse license in good standing. · Ortho/Neuro nursing experience preferred, One year of Med/Surg. nursing experience preferred. Associate's Degree in nursing required, Bachelor's preferred.American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certified (ACLS) and Certification preferred. · Certified Ortho/Neuro Nurse preferred · Leadership and management experience is highly desirable.
