Medicaid Application Administrative Assistant ** 20-25 hours per week Monday to Thursday 9 AM to 2 PM
Position * A reputable law firm focusing in asset protection and Medicaid planning is seeking a diligent, organized, and client-focused Medicaid Application and Legal Administrative Assistant. This part-time role is ideal for candidates with a background in administrative assistance, healthcare administration, legal services, or insurance processing, particularly those interested in asset protection and Medicaid planning. As part of our team, you will support the processing of Medicaid applications, documentation management, and communication with clients, helping ensure timely and accurate support for our clients' asset protection needs.
Key * Review, process, and manage Medicaid applications and renewals, focusing on asset protection compliance.Gather and verify required client documentation, including financial records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.Communicate with clients to explain Medicaid requirements, provide updates, and request additional information when needed.Maintain and organize client files, databases, and electronic records in line with firm policies.Coordinate with attorneys and team members to ensure applications meet legal requirements for asset protection.Follow up on pending applications and assist with reporting and documentation for compliance purposes.Respond to client inquiries, offering empathetic, accurate guidance throughout the Medicaid application process. High school diploma or GED required; further education in legal studies or healthcare administration preferred.Experience with Medicaid processing, law firm administration, or healthcare administration is strongly preferred.Knowledge of asset protection strategies and Medicaid regulations is a plus.Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to accuracy.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and client management software.Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality with sensitive client information.
