Student Loan Repayment: This Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position may be eligible for Avera's Student Loan Repayment Program, which helps you pay off your loans and save money. Each month an extra payment of $167 (up to $10,000) from Avera will help pay down your principal balance faster.


Job Summary

The Certified Medical Assistant is responsible for providing professional care for clinic patients following established standards and practices under the supervision of the provider.

Education & Experience


Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with an Associate's degree or technical degree preferred.
National Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or National Registration as a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through the American Medical Technologist (AMT) or National Certification as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through the National Health Career Association or Nationally Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) through the National Center Competency Testing (NCCT) or National Certification as a Clinical Medical Assistant (CMAC) through the American Medical Certification Association (AMCA) required.
Basic Life Support required within six months of employment.
Completion of the Child Abuse & Dependent Adult Abuse courses for Iowa Mandatory Reporters within 90 days of employment and every three years thereafter.


Work Schedule


Day shift as needed; PRN 


8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.




Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. 


$19.25 - $27.00 per hour
