Job DetailsJob LocationSDA - Carrollton - Carrollton, TXPosition TypeFull TimeDescriptionCompany Conformance Statements In the performance of their respective tasks and duties all employees are expected to conform to the following: Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision.Interact professionally with other employees, customers and suppliers.Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments.Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations.Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:Escort patient to and from exam room, help patient prepare for exam.Enter medical histories and prescriptions into EMR.Assist physician during exam/procedure.Perform extractions, injections and other patient treatments.Prepare and collect path/lab specimens, notify patients of results and schedule follow up appointments.Educate patients and respond to patient questions in office/on phone as needed.Document all medical instructions given to patients.Clean and organize exam rooms, prepare procedure trays, clean and autoclave instruments, and stock supplies.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsQualifications and Experience:Education: Certification preferred (i.e., Certified Medical Assistant, Certified Dermatology Technician, etc.
)Experience: Minimum two years' experience in a doctor's office.
Prior dermatology experience preferred.Other Requirements: NonePerformance Requirements:Quality written and verbal communication skills.Professional in appearance and mannerisms.Knowledgeable of medical dermatology terms/CPT, ICD-10.Able to demonstrate compassion and caring in dealing with others, patients and co-workers alike.Able to prioritize tasks, understand the provider's instructions, and know when to seek information or advice.
Equipment Operated: Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.
Work Environment: Position is in a well-lighted medical office environment.
Occasional evening and weekend work.Physical Requirements: Must possess the manual dexterity to operate office machines including computer and calculator; stooping, bending to handle files and supplies; and mobility to complete errands or deliveries.
Includes handling of sharps and chemicals.
Stress can be triggered by multiple staff demands and deadlines.
