Medical Assistant

McKinley Orthopedics is looking for a fast and professional medical assistant to work in our busy orthopedic clinic. McKinley Orthopedics is a family oriented clinic with a focus on patient care and staff comradery! As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation in a medical office. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner.*Responsibilities** Interview patients and document basic medical history* Organize and schedule appointments* Arrange hospital admissions and laboratory services* Check with patients and type up patients charts* Assist during medical examinations* Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms* Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments* Vital Signs* Casting and Splinting* Administrative tasks as assigned* Supply Ordering*Skills** Proven working experience as a medical assistant* Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures* Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work* Social perceptiveness and service oriented* Excellent written and verbal communication skills* Strong organizational and planning skills* Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software* Degree in medical assistanceExperience in orthopedics is highly preferred but willing to train for the right person!*Pay negotiable DOE*Job Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: From $18.00 per hourBenefits:* 401(k)* Health insurance* Paid time offSchedule:* 8 hour shift* Day shift* Evening shift* Monday to Friday* Rotating weekends* Weekends as neededEducation:* High school or equivalent (Preferred)License/Certification:* BLS Certification (Preferred)* Certified Medical Assistant or CNA (Preferred)Work Location: In person
