Job Summary This position has the ability to genuinely serve our Veterans on every level, including the ability to enhance patient satisfaction and increase office efficiency. You must be able to positively impact our Veteran clients, coworkers, and the clinic as a whole. We have found that successful candidates have a true passion to help others and be a team player. This position is a travel position where candidates will be placed in clinics and rural areas throughout the region. Travel, meals, and housing will be covered. Key Roles: Prepares patients for examination, take vitals, and record patients' health history. Prepares equipment and examination rooms and cleans instruments. Assists physician with medical treatments, procedures, and exams. Manages inventory of medical supplies and equips exam rooms with appropriate supplies. Chaperones patient during an examination. Reviews and edits reports in proprietary software application to ensure accuracy in context, grammar, spelling, and consistency. Review each exam report for accuracy prior to submission to the physician for final review and approval. Assists in the retrieval of diagnostic tests for scanning into propriety software application. Interfaces with operational teams and assists in the provision of medical records. Works with providers and operational teams to ensure reports are submitted timely and accurately. Basic Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) (with transcript that shows phlebotomy was part of training) OR if not a CMA, must have a phlebotomy certification. Phlebotomy and blood draw experience. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and other external parties in a courteous and friendly manner. Must be detail-oriented and highly organized. Firm grasp on medical practices, administrative processes, and organizational policies. Knowledge of patient care and examination procedures. Must be able to maintain confidentiality. Ability to travel to multiple locations and rural areas in the West Coast Region.
