Requirements:
To be seriously considered for this role, you'll need to have:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience: Previous family practice, clinic or hospital experience preferred.
EMR experience preferred.
Knowledge of medical terminology required.
Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills required.
Experience with computers, fax/copy machines, telephone and etiquette.
Licenses/Certification: Certified Medical Assistant is preferred.
Responsibilities:

As part of the team in the Oncology Department you will:
Take responsibility for the preparation of treatment rooms as well as ensuring the cleanliness of the rooms after the visit.
Preparing patients for the physician evaluation.
This will include a medical history interview, documenting vital signs, and recording complete and accurate information in patient charts.
Working as a patient liaison by helping patients feel at ease in the physician's office and helping to explain the physician instructions.

Physical Requirements:
Occasionally (1-33%) - Crouching/Squatting, stooping, fingering, stairs, carrying (0-20 lbs).
Frequently (34-66%) - Standing, walking, sitting, change position, reaching, reach across midline, handling, lifting (0-20 lbs), pushing/pulling (0-20 lbs)
Continuously (37-100%) - Must be able to see with corrective eyewear, must be able to hear clearly with assistance
Compensation: $17.00 - $19.55/hr, depending on experience.
