ChristianaCare Primary Care at North East is looking for a Medical Assistant. Primary Care at North East is located at 103 Northeast Plaza in North East, Maryland. North East offers a range of medical services for children and adults through all stages of life. You will join a team of two physicians, two advanced practical nurses, one registered nurse, three medical assistants, and two office assistants. Work Schedule: Monday, Tuesday & Thursday from 8am to 4:30pm Wednesday from 8am to 6pm Friday from 8am to 4:30pm North East | ChristianaCare Duties / Responsibilities: As a medical assistant you will be involved with greeting and supporting patients both virtually and on-site within the practice, preparing them for virtual visits, performing point of care testing, injections, medication administration, and EKGs, assisting clinicians with examinations and procedures, preparing exam/treatment rooms with necessary supplies and equipment, completing patient-specific paperwork, ensuring EMR is up-to-date, handling patient call backs, sterilizing medical equipment, handling prior authorizations, referrals, and medical refills, scheduling tests, procedures, and surgeries, performing quality control on POCT equipment, providing documentation assistance, performing clerical duties, troubleshooting patient issues with video visits, and supporting patients in joining ChristianaCare's Patient Portal. Education Requirements: High School Graduate or GED required. A graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
