Position Overview: We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team at a small concierge doctor practice in Potomac. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of culture and sensitivity, as our clientele primarily consists of older patients. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of both the front and back office, providing essential support to our patients and medical staff.
Responsibilities: Greet patients warmly and ensure they feel comfortable and welcome in our practice. Answer phone calls in a professional and courteous manner, scheduling appointments and addressing patient inquiries efficiently. Assist with rooming patients, taking vital signs, and updating medical records accurately. Draw blood and prepare specimens for laboratory testing, ensuring proper handling and documentation. Provide administrative support, including but not limited to filing paperwork, managing patient records, and processing billing. Collaborate closely with the concierge doctor and other medical staff to ensure seamless patient care delivery. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all infection control protocols and safety standards. Qualifications: Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) is highly preferred. Deep understanding of culture and sensitivity towards the needs of older patients. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly and patient demeanor. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in basic medical procedures, including phlebotomy and vital sign measurement. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus. Willingness to learn and adapt to the unique needs of our concierge practice. Work Schedule: Full-time position, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
