In this vital role, you'll be the first point of contact, answering incoming calls for all hospital departments and call center queues. Your calm, professional, and caring demeanor will ensure our patients and medical professionals receive the best possible service.
What You'll Do:
Handle Incoming Calls:
Manage calls for hospitals and department call centers.
Professional Communication:
Engage with patients, medical professionals, and the community with empathy and professionalism.
Process Information Requests:
Adhere to strict HIPAA and company policies.
Customer Needs Assessment:
Identify and address customer needs, offering recommendations based on protocols.
Efficient Request Processing:
Ensure customer requests are met within established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Utilize Resources:
Access the call center database and web resources to provide up-to-date information.
Patient Education:
Inform patients and customers about services and patient portals.
Triage Patient Calls:
Route calls and page on-call physicians as necessary.
Emergency Protocols:
Use critical thinking skills to handle emergency situations and implement response plans quickly and effectively.
What We're Looking For:
Experience and Education:
1-2 years of healthcare experience or equivalent nursing education, 1-2 years of customer service experience, and a high school diploma or GED.
Technical Skills:
Basic keyboarding skills and familiarity with Windows 95 or above.
Communication Skills:
Distinct English language proficiency and excellent customer service abilities.
Hearing and Attention to Detail:
Good hearing and meticulous attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
Call center experience, some college education, bilingual abilities.
