Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Technician to join our team in the production of high-quality cardiovascular medical devices.
This role involves working within a manufacturing cell, where you will be responsible for the detailed assembly and operation of various equipment and machinery in accordance with documented procedures.
Key Responsibilities: Assembly and Operation: Assemble medical devices and related components, which may include electronic assembly, casting/coating functions, mechanical assembly, and packaging.
Work may take place in a controlled cleanroom environment.
Equipment Handling: Utilize a variety of tools and equipment, including microscopes, hand tools, razor blades, syringes, soldering equipment, and adhesive bonding tools, to perform assembly tasks.
Quality Control: Conduct visual inspections and precision measurements on components and assemblies.
Perform tests on units using computerized test equipment to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of travelers, shop floor paperwork, and quality documents to ensure traceability of all parts and address any quality issues effectively.
Safety Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines and utilize appropriate safety devices and equipment during operations.
Participate in continuous improvement and quality initiatives to enhance production processes.
Communication and Collaboration: Notify supervisors of the need to replenish supplies/materials and report any production difficulties.
Collaborate with the Manufacturing Supervisor/Manager to set and monitor individual goals and performance metrics.
Work Environment Maintenance: Ensure a clean and sanitary work environment throughout the facility.
Additional Duties: Perform other related tasks as assigned.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly role.
Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written procedures in English at a 6th-grade level.
Basic math skills at a 6th-grade level.
Effective verbal communication skills in English.
Proficient in using electronic data collection systems and computer software packages.
Strong dexterity for handling and maneuvering small components and parts.
Ability to prioritize tasks based on importance and sequencing.
Capable of making critical decisions and judgments with minimal supervision.
