ChristianaCare, a nationally recognized leader in healthcare, is actively recruiting a Medical Director for CareVio located at our Avenue North location in Wilmington, DE. Duties and Responsibilities: The Medical Director for CareVio will have primary oversight of the clinical quality within CareVio programming as it relates to case management, care coordination and clinical integration of Population Health into the Accountable Care Organization, Clinically Integrated Network, and other population health or CareVio contracts. This includes establishing and maintaining a process for yearly program review, program audits, enhancements to clinical learning, and literature review to ensure clinical components of programming maintain up-to-date standards. The position is a dyad partner for the Clinical Directors and is responsible for the activities which drive successful outcomes while both ensuring quality of care and meeting our contractual obligations.
The CareVio Medical Director is responsible for advancing strategies to optimize partnerships across the healthcare continuum, to drive superior clinical outcomes and to impact unnecessary acute care as well as optimize post-acute care utilization. This position reports directly to the Clinical Operations Director, in partnership with the Corporate Director of CareVio to assess program effectiveness associated with clinical and operation impact, enhance quality, improve cost, utilization and patient, provider and payor/stakeholder satisfaction.
