The Medical Director serves as the Physician for a methadone maintenance treatment program at Haltom City Treatment Services.
The duties include patient care, medical evaluation, establishing dosing levels, and interacting as necessary with Federal, state, county, and other regulatory bodies.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities Serve as Physician for Haltom City Treatment Services, including interviewing, managing, training, and evaluating physician extenders.Implement and enforce medical policies, procedures, and training.Assist as needed with the development of clinical policies, procedures, and training.Assist with the completion of Federal, state, county, and other regulatory applications, permits, licensure, inspections, etc.Correspond and interact with key regulatory (DEA, SAMHSA/CSAT, etc.)
personnel and accrediting bodies as necessary.Provide reports and other data as requested to CEO / Medical Director – OTP.Administrative Responsibilities Participate in Federal and State opiate/substance abuse trainings and education programs.Input clinical findings in patient charts and electronic medical records.Perform and document chart reviews of all subordinate physician extenders.Interview, train, educate, evaluate, and counsel subordinate physician extenders.Participate in meetings, teleconferences, etc.
as needed.Handle stressful situations and interact with others effectively.Be present during working hours at the office for in-person meetings and have access to a computer without violating company policy.Continually review and enhance medical policies, procedures, and protocols.Maintain knowledge and compliance with HIPAA policies and procedures.Have knowledge of Federal, State, and Local regulations, in addition to the standards required by JCAHO/CARF/COA (preferred), Board of Health, OSHA, CSAT, and the State Methadone Authority.Requirements: Per Federal regulations, the physician shall have worked a minimum of one year in the field of addiction medicine.
Qualifications: Current state licenses and DEA licenses.
