POSITION PURPOSE: The Medical Director oversees the direction and strategy of all City on a Hill health services in collaboration with the CEO. These health services include monthly Health Outreach, Free Clinic for the uninsured, Behavioral Health, and future dental clinic. Promotes a holistic (physical, mental, spiritual) approach to medical services, working to increase the quality of life for all patients. Provides day-to-day oversight of all medical providers, working with the Health Services Manager on daily operations of medical services. Implements and maintains the Wisconsin Association of Free and Charitable Clinics (WAFCC) Standards of Excellence. Works with partner organizations and universities to provide mutually beneficial partnerships. Collaborates with the development team in planning and implementing grant-funded programs that advance the Medical Services in alignment with the future direction and strategy of City on a Hill. Serves as a member of City on a Hill's Leadership Team.

Maintain malpractice liability protection, which will be reimbursed. Experience treating low-income, underserved populations. Proficient in supervising medical providers and support staff. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities, multi-tasking, and competing deadlines. Creative problem-solver who takes the initiative and uses good judgment and systems thinking. Experience building and maintaining a strong and respectful rapport with staff, patients, clients, and volunteers. Self-starter; high energy and high productivity worker. Demonstrates a positive attitude, confidence, and resilience. Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills. Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to perform responsibilities in a self-directed environment. Provides evidence of spiritual maturity through integrity, humility, self-control, an active prayer life, and dependence on the Lord. Is involved in a local church. MENTAL/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, and frequently lift throughout the workday. Occasionally lifts items weighing up to 20 lbs. Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.
