OPPORTUNITY HIGHLIGHTS Loyola Physician Partners is seeking a Medical Director to serve as the clinical lead of LPP. The Medical Director works in concert with the LPP Leadership Team and its Governing Board to implement the overall population health strategy and provides counsel to the LPP Vice-President in relation to clinical matters. The Medical Director provides leadership and administrative oversight to the LPP's Clinical, Performance Improvement, Coding, Health Plan and Credentialing teams and, as such, oversees the execution of LPP's clinical, credentialing, network development, performance improvement, and provider engagement activities. LPP's Medical Director supports the LPP's Board and other committees as necessary and appropriate. LPP's Medical Director reports directly to the VP/CMO of Population Health.
Candidates should be board certified and have a medical degree from an accredited university; master's degree in healthcare administration or business preferred. Faculty rank and compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Applicants should be licensed to practice in the State of Illinois at the time of hire.
A successful candidate will have experience working in a healthcare payer organization and a working knowledge of advanced payment models; care management; clinical documentation; clinical integration; managed care; provider credentialing; payer contracting; performance-based incentive programs; performance improvement methodologies; population health; quality indicators; risk coding; and utilization management. This position will be clinically active in the candidate's specialty 0.5 FTE.
