To achieve our vision, Bond Vet is currently seeking an Medical Director to help lead the medical operations of the Clinic.
The Medical Director ensures patients receive a high standard of care and that Clinic team members work collaboratively in a positive workplace environment. The Medical Director is client-oriented, an excellent communicator, and a natural mentor to all members of their team.
The Medical Director partners with their Clinic Manager and reports to the Regional Director of Operations to ensure the holistic success of their Clinic.
In addition to these leadership duties, the Medical Director fulfills the responsibilities of an Associate Veterinarian.
ResponsibilitiesEnsures the delivery of the highest quality veterinary care by all team members.Mentors and develops Associate Veterinarians through coaching and regular case discussions.Participates in a Performance Improvement Process to address performance issues within their team.Organizes and conducts regular doctor and team meetings to foster a positive hospital culture.Acts as a thought partner and contributes to the development of new practice protocols and guidelines.Partners with Clinic Manager in delivering an excellent client experience.Participates in talent acquisition efforts for Doctors and support staff.Creates and maintains the Clinic Doctor Schedule to balance the needs of the hospital.Acts as an ambassador of Bond Vet within the veterinary community and the public.Skills of this leader include:Adaptable: A lifelong learner who continuously develops the skills required to meet the needs of the team.Business acumen: Comfortable with financial conversations related to good medicine.Client Focused: Acts with external and internal customers in mind.Communication Skills: Communicates clearly in both verbal and written formats.Conflict Management: Can settle disputes equitably.Developing Direct Reports: Supports team members' growth through challenging tasks.Directing Others: Sets clear expectations and maintains communication about work.Drive for Results: Takes initiative and can troubleshoot effectively.Effective Teambuilder: Creates a strong team spirit.Hiring & Staffing: Evaluates potential candidates effectively.Managing Vision & Purpose: Communicates vision inspiringly and breaks larger goals into manageable chunks.Peer Relationships: Builds strong relationships and solves problems fairly.Prioritization: Good time management skills.Regulatory Compliance: Ensures team awareness and compliance with legal requirements.Safety Management: Fosters a culture committed to safety.Self Aware: Seeks feedback and develops action plans to address concerns.Veterinary Quality: Understands factors that contribute to overall Quality of Care.QualificationsVeterinary Medical Degree (DVM/VMD or foreign equivalent).State licensure in good standing OR eligibility for such licensure.DEA licensure and Controlled Dangerous Substances (CDS) certificate if needed.3-5+ years of clinical veterinary experience preferred.1+ years of Leadership Experience preferred.We OfferPay Range $160,000-$200,000 Depending on Experience.Flexible employment models.No overnights - and no hospitalizations overnights.CE Stipend & Additional Time Off for CE.401(k) with partial employer match.Generous paid time off.Parental leave of up to 16 weeks paid.Discounts on in-clinic services for pets.Access to mental health support.HSA plan option with employer contribution.Figs scrubs & stocked pantries.Employment with Bond Vet is contingent upon the Company's completion of a satisfactory investigation of your background.
