Labcorp is looking for a Medical Director, Board Certified (AP/CP) Pathologist, for our high-volume regional lab in Tampa, FL. The Medical Director would be a key member of our Southeast leadership team and would join a collaborative and supportive team that is passionate about delivering the highest quality of patient care and customer service. Responsibilities: Provide consultative and laboratory support internally and to our clients.Oversee medical decision-making and fulfill laboratory functions requiring a pathologist.Participate in the review and approval of new service offerings and assess new test feasibility.Analyze and respond to medical/pathology-related inquiries by internal colleagues and customers.Implement quality standards and help assure regulatory and legal compliance. Demonstrates a passion for quality and process improvement in both anatomic and clinical pathology.Compliance with quality, regulatory, and safety guidelines.Expert discussions with referring providers as needed in person, phone, or electronically.Willingness to support sales initiatives and ability to effectively interact with clients at meetings.Adaptability with regards to administrative versus service responsibilities. Willingness to sign out cases as needed.Leadership Responsibilities: Ability to demonstrate key leadership principles and drive successful team outcomes such as:Creating an inclusive and trusted environment where collaboration and communication are key.Intentionally seeking and incorporating a variety of diverse perspectives to solve business challenges.Coaching and providing value-added feedback and development opportunities for team members.Requirements: FL-Licensed physician with Board Certification Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.Five years of post-training experience is required.Three years of experience in a high-volume hospital/large referral laboratory.Excellent communication skills are required, both written and verbal.Creating a culture of accountability through communication of clear expectations and high-performance standards.Benefits: All job offers will be based on a candidate's skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
