**Description** _**Summary:**_Operates radiologic equipment to make clinical diagnostic images as directedby physicians. Performs routine diagnostic procedures and may be required tofunction as a Medical Assistant as needed. Behavior and communication skillsmust align with the organizations mission, values and culture. _**Responsibilities:**_• Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader ofSelf, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders. • Basic computer knowledge required • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing • Excellent customer service skills required • Positions patients and adjusts equipment for taking radiographic imagesfollowing established procedures. Instructs patients regarding procedures.Observes patients vital signs during examination. • Follows prescribed safety standards in operating radiologic equipment. • Maintains accurate radiology records as directed and logs all procedurescompleted. Processes routine paperwork and files reports. • Operate radiologic equipment to produce images of the body for diagnosticpurposes. • Position radiologic equipment and adjust controls to set exposure factorsaccording to specification of examination. • Follows established radiologic requirements and regulations to ensurepatient care and safety. • Maintains examination rooms. Stocks necessary medical and radiologicsupplies. • Cleans and makes minor adjustments to radiologic equipment. Schedulesroutine maintenance. Develops and monitors an ongoing QI program with targetedQI aspects of care to be reported on a routine basis. Ensures departmentcompliance with OSHA. • Participates in training employees in equipment operation, patient movement,and quality assurance. • Attends required meetings and participates in committees as requested. • Enhances professional growth through education programs, conferences, andworkshops. • Follows the CHRISTUS Physician Group guidelines related to the HealthInsurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), designed to prevent ordetect unauthorized disclosure of Protected Health Information (PHI). • Maintains strict confidentiality. • Uses oral and written communication skills to effectively convey ideas in aclear, positive manner that is consistent with the CHRISTUS Mission. • Maintains established CHRISTUS Physician Group policies, procedures,objectives, quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control. • Implements job responsibilities in a manner that is consistent with theCHRISTUS Mission and Code of Ethics and supportive of CHRISTUS PhysicianGroups cultural diversity objectives. • Supports and adheres to CPG Service Guarantee. • Performs other related work as required. _**Requirements:**_ * Graduate of AMA approved School of Radiological Sciences or other accepted and approved equivalent required * One year of experience as a radiologic technologist preferred * Current state licensure and certification (ARRT) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists required * Current BLS (American Heart Association) required**_Work Schedule:_ **TBD**_Work Type:_ **Per Diem As Needed **EEO is the law - click below for more information:**We endeavor to make this site accessible to any and all users.
