Job Title: Medical Lab Technician
Job Description:
+ Provide quality test results by operating general chemistry, performing manual methods; operating other instrumentation as may be available in the laboratory area.
+ Analyze and organize work by matching computer orders with specimen labeling; sorting specimens; checking labeling; logging specimens; arranging reports for delivery; keeping work surfaces clean and orderly.
+ Responsible for monitoring test analyses and specimen examinations to ensure that acceptable levels of analytic performance are maintained.
+ Maintain quality results by running standards and controls, verifying equipment function through routine equipment maintenance and troubleshooting; calibrating equipment utilizing approved testing procedures
+ Have the ability to process and test upward of 1000 samples a shift
+ Work with blood/urine samples and perform needed testing
+ Maintain records that demonstrate that proficiency testing samples are tested in the same manner as patient specimens.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelors degree in medical Lab Science or Chemistry
+ Min of 3 months+ working industry exp in a clinical lab setting
+ Chemistry bench exp in healthcare (urine/blood testing)
+ Ability to work at a fast-paced lab environment
+ Ability to process 1000+ samples a shift
