About the job Medical Laboratory Administrative Assistant
Our client is looking for a dynamic laboratory administrative assistant to accurately and efficiently assist clinical operations.
A successful candidate will be highly organized and possess an excellent, can-do attitude.
This position will report directly to the laboratory director, ensuring the lab director knows what tasks are awaiting his/her input, contacting clients on the director's behalf, filing and scanning paperwork, performing some data entry, answering phones as needed and providing general administrative support to the laboratory management.
The candidate must be flexible, and be able to successfully manage multiple work streams at the same time.
Administrative / Customer Service Responsibilities
Organize lab documents and paperwork, including filing and data entry Answer phones and provide customer support as needed Contact clients with information requests, relaying information, clarifying details; resolve and escalate issues/discrepancies Update training processes and procedures as needed Perform general laboratory work; assist technologists in processing specimens Other duties as designated by the director Phlebotomy experience is ideal, but not required.
Candidate Must Be: Detail-oriented and able to multi-task Able to coordinate multiple projects at once Obsessive about providing excellent patient and customer support Possess excellent written and oral communication skills Follow-up and see tasks through to completion Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word Able to learn and grow with the company Highly motivated and able to complete ambiguous tasks Bachelor of Science degree preferred Some science or healthcare background preferred
This position is 5 days a week, Monday - Friday.
(Some weekends a holidays) The ideal candidate must be flexible with their availability, especially during the initial training period.
