We are looking for Medical Laboratory Technicians for full-time positions in Nashville, TN serving the VA TVHS Healthcare System, covering the following shifts:
day shift (MURFREESBORO CAMPUS) - 8 am - 4:30 pm Monday to Friday night shift weekdays - 3:30 pm - 7 am, 7 days a week weekend shift - 7 pm Friday - 7 am Monday weekend only rotating holiday shift - 3:30 pm - 7 am Duties and responsibilities To perform stat and routine testing in the laboratory in the areas of specimen processing, hematology, chemistry, coagulation, urinalysis, basic microbiology, and blood bank. To perform patient/unit blood compatibility testing and issue compatible blood and blood products if required. Requirements Associate degree in chemistry or biology, successful completion of 2 academic years of study above high school that included at least 24 semester hours in Chemistry and/or in appropriate fields of biological science. AMT or ASCP certification as Medical Laboratory Technician required. Minimum one year of related experience. Ability to communicate fluently in English. Must be authorized to work in the US by any employer, without sponsorship. Must be able to provide proof of immunizations (Influenza, Covid, Hep B, etc.).
