Position: Medical Office Manager / Front Desk
Small innovative high-technology family medicine practice has an opening for a Medical Office Manager who also provides Front Desk support to patients at check-in.
Required skills: • Excellent customer service skills
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
• Experience with front and back medical office procedures
• Basic accounting and billing knowledge
Preferred skills: • EHR (eClinicalworks) experience
• Daily posting, chart review and deposits
• Analytics for quality programs
• Experience with Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs)
• Administrative assistant experience
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree
Flu vaccination required for the safety of our patients. Masks are sometimes required at work.
Salary starting at $55k per year or higher depending on experience plus benefits. This position is full-time, usually Monday-Thursday 7:45am-5pm, Friday 7:45am-2pm. No nights or weekends. Send resume and cover letter for consideration of an interview to ********
This position involves working in many different capacities: • Check patients in and process payments
• Manage practice email account
• Manage practice schedule and patient reminders
• Supervisory responsibilities for medical assistant
• Works with physician to implement and obtain quality initiatives for the practice
• Participates in daily huddle with physician and staff to go over daily schedule and needs of each patient to be seen that day
• Respects the dignity, confidentiality and privacy of patients using effective communication
• Takes active role in patient care coordination working as a team with the Medical Assistant and Physician.
• Follows up on test results, referrals, and transitions of care with facilities as necessary based on protocols and policies.
• Acts as liaison between the practice and the outside billing company as it relates to all patient billing, coding, collections and other issues
• Acts as liaison with EHR vendor for technical issues and ACOs
• Monitors profitability and reports changes in volume, payor mix, productivity and related practice analysis data
• Interacts with physicians, employees, patients (and their families), vendors or service contractors, representatives of regulatory agencies, and the medical community
• Maintains professional attitude and demeanor regardless of the circumstances
• Develops culture of teamwork and positive atmosphere
